Saboré Fruit Acid Peels are stronger than Enzyme Peels and are designed to effectively remove dead cells and result in superficial skin injury. They are a highly effective Peeling Agent.

Lactic Acid

This exfoliates the surface of the skin, while deep cleaning the pores. They stimulate natural collagen production, even out the skin tone and improve fine lines, hyper pigmentation of the skin and will fade dark spots. A lactic acid peel will also remove dead skin cells, toxins, and debris that are on the skin. They will help the skin to maintain the ideal PH level.

Glycolic Acid

This often is used to treat acne and acne scars. By delivering a stronger dose of glycolic acid the peel targets problem areas and removes layers of breakout-causing dirt, bacteria and dead skin cells from your face and neck. Glycolic acid works to strengthen deep layers of your skin, which helps to soften fine lines and gives the face a fresh, plumper appearance.

Lactic & Glycolic Acid

We have combined these two acids precisely, to work in harmony with each other. Scientific studies have demonstrated that when one compares Lactic Acid to Glycolic Acid, Lactic Acid stimulates cell turnover and cell renewal at a higher rate than Glycolic Acid and with less irritation, yet Glycolic Acid, which is a smaller molecule than Lactic Acid, penetrates the skin more readily than Lactic Acid.

Pyruvic Acid

Encourages both Epidermal and Dermal effects and has proven its efficiency for the treatment of many conditions such as Acne, Superficial scarring, Photo Damage, Greasy skin, Actinic Keratosis, Warts and Pigmentary disorders. Pyruvic Acids Antimicrobial and Comedolytic properties make it a very useful Peel in patients with Acne.

What you can expect during treatment?

Skin Peel

We recommended to prepare your skin at least two weeks prior to treatment with at least one of our Sabore AHA products (Enzyme Cleanser, Exfoliate, Toner, Moisturiser and or Cellular Renewal Serum).

During the peel process:

Most clients will feel a mild stinging sensation during application. The skin may become red or pinkish in colour. Frosting may occur with this peel, although not typical. This process takes between 5-15 mins depending on individuals.

After the peel:

Downtime and peeling will be mild after this treatment. You may experience peeling or flaking similar to the flaking or peeling after mild sunburn, for up to 2 weeks. Individual results may vary.

The whole procedure takes about between 30- 40 mins.

After Peel Home Care:

With a chemical peel, the name says exactly what the skin is supposed to do—peel. The purpose is to remove the top layers of the skin along with any discolored cells within those layers. This process happens as the skin peels. While it’s not always ideal to walk around with flaky skin, you have to be very mindful not to interfere with the process. Let Mother Nature do her thing. Simply put, you have to accept the peeling and avoid doing whatever you can to make it stop before its ready to. The goal is to keep the skin feeling moist, calm and comfortable.

1. Treat your skin gently – very light touch when massaging products on your skin. No Aggressive rubbing and avoid using washcloths or cleansing brushes after Chemical peel.

2. Must wear sunscreen 30+ after a chemical peel – Stating the obvious I know, but the skin is very vulnerable post peel. So do limit outdoor exposure by protecting your skin.

3. Use only prescribed products by your practitioner after a chemical peel – As your skin is healing it is vital you listen and follow your practitioner as to which products are beneficial for healing your skin and any follow up products thereafter. The aim is to provide as much comfort to your skin as possible to ease redness and irritation.
